What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about PHIL LOADHOLT: Oklahoma, 6080 343 5.49. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer. Long arms and big hands. Massive man. Lines up in a two point preset stance. Played left tackle at Oklahoma. Projects to a right tackle because of the lack of foot quickness. Inconsistent to move and slide his feet. Must work to bend his knees. Plays high. His punch goes to the facemask of defender at times. Below average flexibility for the position. If he gets his hands on target, he locks you up and mauls you. Appears to lack a sense of urgency at times. Lacks the quickness on backside cut blocks. Waist bends in pass protection. Two move defensive ends cause him major problems. Strong on down blocks. His feet are not close to the top tackles in this draft. Once he locks on a defensive end he can run them up the field. Position/wall off run blocker. Struggles to redirect. Gets some push in the running game. Long legs. Must consciously work to bend his knees. Off field red flags need to be addressed. OSR:20/47. Third/fourth round. (A-36 1/2, H-10, BP-24, 10-1.84).
