What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about GREG JENNINGS: Western Michigan, 5111 197 4.42. Three-year starter. Soft catcher’s mitt type hands. Impressive senior year with 98 catches, 1259 yards, 12.8 ypc, and 14 touchdowns. Runs sharp routes. Uses his speed and quickness to get open. Can leap up with good timing and pluck the ball at the high point. Avoids press coverage with quickness and savvy. Has the speed and quickness to get open. Shorter than ideal, but displays outstanding hands and athletic ability. Is a punt returner that adds to his value as a run-after-catch receiver. Flashes a burst out of his cuts. Athletically he was one of the top 10 receivers at the Combine and put up solid numbers. Will catch the ball over the middle and in tight spots. Good concentration. Can take a hit. Can make the over shoulder catch. Change of pace speed gets him open deep. Snatches the poorly thrown passes in his hands. A burst out of his break to run away from defenders. Needs to improve his blocking skills. Competitive receiver that works hard on the field. Clutch player. Productive over his career. Third round. (A-31, H-8 1/8, SS-4.16, VJ-36.5).
