What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JOSH FREEMAN: Kansas State, 6056 248 4.95. Junior entry. Three-year starter. Right handed. Good athletic ability. Plays under center and in the shotgun formations. Big drop back athlete with ability to escape the rush or side step it. A work in progress. Has good enough arm strength and has improved his game every year. Major concerns are decision making. Will throw into double coverage, throw the fade routes up for grabs, and is careless with the ball. Needs work on accuracy with anticipation. Question ability to extend a play for positive results. Footwork needs more balance with crossover and rhythm steps. Long and deliberate release instead of compact. Not an instinctive player that plays under control. At times it looks like the game is a blur to him. Better at throwing short ball control routes under ten yards. Is still maturing as a leader and student of the game. Has undeniable tools to play on Sunday, but is years away in a complex offense. High risk selection. Ball velocity 57 mph. OSR:7/21. Second round. (A-32 3/4, H-10, VJ-33.5, SS-4.45).
