Draft Rewind 2005 - Alex Smith - San Francisco 49ers

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about ALEX SMITH: Utah, 6041 217 4.76. Underclassman eligible. Two-year starter. Productive in shotgun offense. Good athlete who makes plays with his feet. Played in an option oriented offense where the quarterback’s feet and legs are a key to the offense. Urban Meyers’ Bowling Green quarterbacks, Josh Harris and Omar Jacobs, have put up outstanding statistics in this offense. An edge type spread-thefield scheme that features option, running the corner, and ball control passing. Arm strength is still suspect. Can he throw it with velocity through a small window? Rhythm type passer who will have numerous nuances of a professional style offense to learn. Needs to get stronger overall. Good field presence, decisions, and ball placement to receivers. Needs work on taking conventional snap, driving away from center, and setting up quickly at throwing point. Work is needed on deep outs and crossing patterns. Steps into his throws. Strong intangibles: decision making, student of the game, intelligent, competitor, and solid character. Of the top three quarterback prospects, he has the longest way to come to start in the NFL.

Draft Rewind 2007 - Paul Soliai - Miami Dolphins

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about PAUL SOLIAI: Utah, 6040 344 5.13. Two-year starter. Huge wide-bodied grass grabber with long arms. Endurance is a problem. Wears down in games and plays high. Two down player. A premium is put on a man with his size that can move. Ideal nose tackle to push the pocket. Gets inside push. Doesn’t always play low but is hard to move. Graded out as one of the top defensive tackles athletically at the Combine. Had a vertical jump of 29.5. Can be explosive off the ball. Tackle to tackle player. One speed guy. Needs to use his hands better. Lacks the consistent ability to control opponent with effective hand use. Marginal quickness and extension. Could go anywhere on the second day with his weight concerns. Did not lift weights as of press time due to a right elbow injury. Fourth/fifth round. (A-34, H-9 3/4, BP-DNP, 10-1.73).

Draft Rewind 2010 - Zane Beadles - Denver Broncos

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about ZANE BEADLES: Utah, 6043 307 5.35. Four-year starter. Plays left tackle, but is projected to move inside to guard. Plays in a spread offense. Smooth footwork in pass protection with good body quickness, change of direction, and the ability to redirect and recover. Starts in a preset two-point stance. Plays with good arm extension. Physical, blue collar player that will maul a defender in the running game at times. Plays with a good base in both the running game and pass protection. Quick enough to cut off an inside slant move. Smooth feet in transition on twist or “x” stunts. Flashes an explosive punch. Can run the pass rusher up the field and around the quarterback. Asked to cut block in the spread formation. Rarely overextends as a run blocker. Brings his feet with him. A forced knee bender that stays engaged. Locks on the breast plate and steers the defender. A technique savvy player that is a strong run blocker. Ties up pass rushers. Effective in pass pro to mirror and slide his feet. Plays square to defender. Value comes with his intelligence and ability to be a guard and an emergency tackle. A 4-for-1 player. Did not work out at the Combine due to a right hamstring strain. Third/fourth round. (A- 33 3/4, H-9 3/4, BP-27, 10-1.85).

Draft Rewind 2003 - Jordan Gross - Carolina Panthers

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JORDAN GROSS: Utah, 6044 300 5.02. Three year starter. Played left tackle as a senior but has experience on the right side. Very athletic. Quick off the mark. Doesn’t have explosive power but he keeps his feet active after initial contact and can generate movement at the point-of-attack. Works well for position. Does a good job of sealing off the backside on plays away. Usually stays on his feet. Fiery competitor. Works til the whistle — hustles downfield — shows a mean streak. Pulls well. Has good body control and speed. Able to come off an initial block and find a second defender to go after. Very good at gliding out on linebackers and neutralizing them. Has solid pass protection tools. Sets quickly. Aggressive puncher. Gets his hands on the defender nicely and does a good job of maintaining contact. Light on his feet. Can bend his knees. Shuffles well laterally. Needs to do a better job of anchoring against power. A top-flight prospect.

Draft Rewind 2009 - Sean Smith - Miami Dolphins

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about SEAN SMITH: Utah, 6034 214 4.52. Two-year starter. Long arms with good athletic ability. Projects to a press corner that is still raw and developing. Lacks quick movement out of transition to break on the ball. Not loose hipped, smooth or fluid. Wasted motion and false steps in his turns. Plays a press-bail and shuffle technique. The little exposure to his backpedal we had was high and he didn’t bend his knees or drop his butt. Has only played corner for two years. Was a wide receiver with inconsistent hands. Question play instincts and awareness. Lacks a burst to close on the ball in the air. Better when everything is in front of him. Made 69 tackles, 16 passes broken up, and 9 interceptions in 2 years. May also be projected as a safety for some teams. Good upside based on measurables and athletic ability. Developing size/speed prospect. BTR:left 4.83, right 5.00. OSR:13/32. Third/fourth round. (A-34 5/8, H-9 7/8, VJ-34, SS-4.16).

Draft Rewind 2007 - Eric Weddle - San Diego Chargers

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about ERIC WEDDLE: Utah, 5112 203 4.56. Four-year starter that has experience at both safety and corner. Intense and aggressive playmaker. Good instincts to read and react. Smooth in his back pedal. Plays with good knee bend. Smart in zone coverage. Can pattern read and adjust to routes in his area. Makes plays when he gets close to the receiver. Will knock the ball down, strip or intercept it. Ability to adjust to the ball in flight. Can play the ball down the field. Closes on the receiver after he makes his final move. Takes direct line to the ball. Good hands to reach and extend for the ball. Knocks down catchable balls. Out of control as a tackle at times. Outstanding ability to read and react. Pattern reads and anticipates quickly. Good body control, loose hipped, smooth transition. No wasted motion. A physical take-on player that uses his hands to shed. Stays on his feet and plays off blockers in the open field and makes a tackle. Competitive, physical and tough. A playmaker that has been productive over his career. Tough and durable. Also played running back on the goal line during 2006. Third/fourth round. (A-30 5/8, H-9 5/8, SS-DNP, VJ-35).

Sealver Siliga, 2011 Undrafted Free Agent, Defensive Tackle

Siliga, Sealver Utah 6016 305 5.20
Junior entry. Two-year starter with long arms and big hands to
control a blocker. Strong upper and lower body. Physical on
power and bull rush. Presses the pocket. Not a fast twitch player.
Below average quickness on logs and twist stunts. Two down
player who specializes in stuffing the run lanes. Quick first step
to get penetration. Plays stout with leverage and can hold his
ground inside. He does have a tendency to play high after his
first step, however not a two gap player. Under tackle in four
man front. Provides a team with depth despite borderline
measurables and physical skills. A two down run player.

Koa Misi OLB Ourlads All-Rookie Team 2010

Koa Misi was drafted by the Miami Dolphins with the 40th
selection of the 2nd round. What Ourlads Guide to the NFL
Draft said about Misi:

Misi, Koa Utah 6026 251 4.76
Three-year starter. Junior college transfer from Santa Rosa,
CA. Conversion project to a right defensive end in a 3-4 scheme
that is extremely raw as a linebacker. Good athletic ability. He
struggled with reads and linebacker technique at the Senior Bowl.
He does not react well when the play is away and tends to float
instead of attacking downhill. Does not play well in space as he
is out of control and will over or under run the ball. He is
aggressive and plays hard, but lack of linebacker experience
causes some hesitation in read and react. Plays OK over a tight
end and attacks with his hands. Shows some shed ability but
tends to get caught on the edge and struggles to redirect into the
play. Will open up a running lane by not staying stout on a
block. Struggled with pass coverage as he lacks zone awareness.
Decent pass rush ability and showed an explosive first step as a
blitzer. Doesn’t stay blocked. One of five or six projections
that looked like they had a chance at the Combine to make the
move. Will contribute on all special teams coverage and return
units. Over career had 206 tackles, 26 broken up, 10 1/2 sacks,
and 6 forced fumbles. Had a 10-4 broad jump and 38-inch vertical
jump at the Combine. OSR:10/35. Third/fourth round. (A-32 1/
2, H-9 5/8, BP-DNP, SS-4.27).

5. Ducasse, Vladimir Massachusetts 6050 328 5.35

Mike Iupati is a wide-bodied road grader that is physical and flashes a
punch that shocks defenders. Jon Asamoah is aggressive in his approach.
Stays engaged and maintains a good base and active feet in pass protection.
Zane Beadles plays left tackle but projects inside to guard. Physical
player. Effective in pulls. Stays on his feet. Needs to get more consistency
in his hand use. Mike Johnson was more inconsistent in 2009 than his
junior year. Struggled more in space. Worked to keep a good base in pass
protection. Loses leverage if he does not play with knee bend. Vladimir
Ducasse moved to the United States in 2002 from Haiti. A raw athletic
talent that projects to guard from left tackle. AVERAGE
