Kendall Hunter, San Francisco 49ers, 115th Pick, 4th Round, 2011 NFL Draft

Hunter, Kendall Oklahoma St. 5072 199 4.46
Two-year starter. A compact productive runner who plays in a Pistol spread offense. Explodes through the seams and gets to the second level quickly. Good running skills that feature quick cutting ability and a third gear burst. Good vision and quick reactions. No hitch or false steps. Quick on snap. Lacks the size to be a short yardage and goal-line back. More of a change up type runner. Lacks the size and power to be a feature ball carrier on the next level. Weaves his way through traffic. Doesn’t break many tackles. On screen passes he gets what is blocked. An undersized but willing blocker in pass protection. Has talent but will struggle to hold up physically. Mark Ingram and 2011 NFL Draft Running backs Notes

Runningback Nuggets for 2011 Draft...

We have ranked the players listed by
a special Ourlads’ formula we call OSR. When a prospect has an OSR rating
of 15/17, for example, he rated 15th out of the 17 athletes at his position.
Athletes are listed by position alphabetically. Each workout field is weighted
to the importance of the position – i.e.: for quarterbacks – height, the short
shuttle, 3 cone drill, and Wonderlic test are the most important. Broad jump,
vertical jump, 40-yard dash, and 20-yard dash are also important, but not as
important as the first four mentioned. The numbers recorded next to a
prospect’s name exceeded the previous year’s Combine average or Pro Bowl
players’ averages for the past five years. If there is only an OSR rating, the
athlete did not exceed any of the previous position averages.
