Draft Rewind 2011 - Denarius Moore - Oakland Raiders

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about DENARIUS MOORE: Tennessee, 5115 194 4.45. Two-year starter. A vertical speed receiver who runs good routes and catches the ball in his hands. Good vision and ball skills. Finds the ball in transition out of his route. A willing wall off and position blocker. Had two 200-yard receiving games in 2010, one against Kentucky and one against South Carolina. Good adjustment to poorly thrown passes. Slender build. Needs more strength to get off press coverage. Productive downfield averaging over 20 yards per catch. Can make the deep overhead catch over either shoulder. A good athlete with some positive receiving skills. 2010 stats: 47-981 yds, 20.9 ypr, 9 TDs. OSR:11/43. Fourth/fifth round. (A-33, H-9 1/2, VJ-36, SS-4.15).

Draft Rewind 2010 - Eric Berry - Kansas City Chiefs

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about ERIC BERRY: Tennessee, 5115 211 4.45. Junior entry. Three-year starter. A safety with corner skills. Versatile enough to play either free or strong safety and interchange responsibilities and has the hip flexibility, foot quickness, change of direction, and recoverability to play corner. Good intelligence. Can learn and retain coverage schemes, awareness to recognize and analyze offensive set tendencies, and react quickly to keys. Can make calls and communicate coverages vocally. Has a fierce sense of competition. Plays with confidence and poise. Mentally tough and durable. Good concentration and a high reaction IQ. Reads the eyes of the quarterback. Good leadership qualities. Has long arms and extraordinary leaping ability. Impact hitter that is always around the ball. Alley player on run support. Ability to stay on his feet and play off blockers. Lined up as a safety or as a linebacker/hybrid in the Tampa-2 system in 2009 and excelled. Active and aggressive. Has tackling courage - heavy hitter. Did a better job in 2009 of wrapping up as a tackler instead of just exploding on the ball carrier. Slipped off a few tackles if he went high. Total package of measurables, athletic ability, physical ability, intelligence, instincts, intangibles, and leadership qualities. Will contribute on all special teams. One of the top three players in the 2010 draft. Second in NCAA history with 494 interception return yards. SEC Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. Jim Thorpe Award winner as the nation’s top defensive back. BTR:left 4.09, right 4.10. Had 19 reps of 225 and 6.80 on the 3-cone. OSR:2/21. First round. (A-33 1/4, H-9 5/8, VJ-43, SS-4.23).

Draft Rewind 2003 - Jason Witten - Dallas Cowboys

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JASON WITTEN: Tennessee, 6056 265 4.70. Junior eligible. Former defensive lineman. Solid producer the past two seasons. Has excellent size. Tall and well-built. Sturdy. Has good strength in the upper body and arms. Above average overall blocker. Not especially quick off the mark but he makes solid contact. Strikes with good lean and can generate movement on drive blocks. Can turn a defender with strong hand usage. Generally keeps his feet. Does a fairly good job of moving out on linebackers, though he is a little stiff adjusting in space. Not quick footed as a blocker — gets stationary at times with his feet while attempting to win battles with his upper body. Works to sustain but isn’t nasty in doing so. Athletic. Often used in motion or split wide. Good receiver for a big tight end. Releases smoothly and has the speed to get up the seam. Has reliable hands — can extend and snatch away from his body. Shows the concentration to make the tough grab. Doesn’t have dynamic cutting ability or fluidity. Heavy-legged — lacks good leaping ability. Effective after the catch. Isn’t nifty but he has the power to run through tackles when he gets up a head of steam. Improving. Quality prospect.

Draft Rewind 2009 - Arian Foster - Houston Texans

What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ARIAN FOSTER: Tennessee, 6006 226 4.60. Started 33 games over the past four years. Rotated with Montario Hardesty. Versatile back that can run and catch. Power runner that can turn the corner. Good balance. Effective on the inside zone running plays out of the one back set. Question ball security. Best running between the tackles. Lacks long finish speed. One speed downhill runner with limited burst. Ball control type back. Appeared to shut it down his senior year and was not nearly as productive as in previous years. Upright runner that lacks the power he showed previously. Lacked consistency and the ability to hold onto the ball. Lacked the confidence to be a playmaker at crunch time. Not dependable and reliable to make the plays when needed. Injury history is a concern. Question competitiveness. Long arms. Left the Senior Bowl with a hamstring injury after the first day. Did not workout at the Combine. Seventh round. (A-33 3/8, H-9 7/8, BP-23, SS-4.53).

Strong bull rush. Disruptive player that can split a double team. Space eater. Thick lower body. Explosive first step. Powerful and explosive. Fights through blocks. Strong hands with good arm length. Good awareness. Gets his hands up on the pass rush to make the quarterback throw out of a well. Quick to disengage. Power rusher when he goes up the middle. Uses hands well. Good hand and grab strength to knock blocker off balance. Hard to tie up on reach block. Urgent and intense in play. Productive in 2009 with 70 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 2 1/2 sacks. OSR:17/20. First round. (A-33, H-10 1/8, BP-27, 10-1.83).

Good athlete that can run sideline to sideline. Plays with good focus and intensity. Works through traffic and attacks downhill to make a play. Uses his body as a weapon to make a tackle. Has experience at both inside and outside linebacker. Effective on delayed blitz. Good timing. Can run with tight ends and backs in coverage. Makes plays all over the field. Should help a team on special teams coverage. May have some red flags and a medical history. OSR:2/11 as an IB, 11/52 for all linebackers. Second/third round. (A-32 7/8, H-9 1/4, BP-22, SS-4.30).

Luke Stocker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 104th Pick, 4th Round, 2011 NFL Draft

Acho, Sam Texas 6016 257 4.68
Two-year starter who projects to a 3-4 rush end. Explosive first step quickness. Plays with flexibility, leverage, and knee bend. A disruptive athlete who gets in the throwing lanes or pressures the quarterback. Finishes pursuit on plays away from him. Takes good angles. In the Senior Bowl he beat North tackle Nate Solder for a sack in the game. Played in a 4-2-5 defensive scheme at Texas. Uses his long arms to shed and squeeze the off tackle hole and make a play. Explosive off the edge. Doesn’t give up on a play. Works until the whistle blows. Effective use of his hands and feet in unison rushing the passer. Plays well on his feet. Does a good job on plays away to cushion and fold inside looking for the back to cut back. Quick to diagnose a play after controlling his blocker. Quick reactions and instincts. At the right place at the right time. Good lateral quickness to string out a blocker. For complete report see Ourlads Guide to the NFL Draft.
