What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JARVIS JENKINS: Clemson, 6037 309 5.08. Three-year starter. Active in his play. Try hard, good effort player who will finish pursuit to the perimeter. Quick first step. Gets his hands up and into the throwing lane. Physical against the run when he gets his pad level down. Has a tendency to play high. Works his feet and hands to press the pocket and rush the quarterback. Plays in a front rotation where he is always fresh. Doesn’t stay blocked. Quick to disengage and separate from the blocker. Can stack and hold his ground against double teams. Needs to develop his pass rush moves. Basically uses the bull rush and tries to overpower the blocker. That rarely happens on the next level. A reactive player who has a nose for the ball. Has functional strength but needs more upper and lower body strength. Possibly a two gap 3-4 defensive end. Will struggle at nose tackle because he plays high. 2010 stats: 39 tackles, 8 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 1.95, right 2.05. OSR:20/25. Third/ fourth round. (A-33 1/4, H-9 5/8, BP-17, 10-1.81).

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about KAVELL CONNER: Clemson, 6003 247 4.62. Two-year starter. Active sideline to sideline player. Drives quickly on the plays in front of him. Athletic and smooth in drops and coverage. Always near the ball. Good instincts. Stays square and goes downhill and meets the back with leverage and power. Fills quickly and aggressively. Take on and shed. Good speed and effort to make plays on the perimeter. Takes smart angles. Fluid in his drops. Gets depth. Reads quarterback and reacts very well. Can play short man coverage and run deep down the middle with a tight end. Plays with a good base. Quickness to slip blockers. A hitter that can jolt the ball carrier. Plays the game with intensity and urgency. Quick take off on the blitz and uses his hands and speed to adjust on the move. Over his career he had 313 total tackles, 16 for loss, and 3 sacks. OSR:14/19. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32 3/4, H-9 3/4, BP-24, SS-4.60).

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JACOBY FORD: Clemson, 5087 186 4.25. Two-and-a-half year starter. Rare vertical speed with sudden quickness. Can make the overhead catch. Early during the Senior Bowl practices he played high in and out of his breaks, not dropping his weight. A hand catcher. Needs route refinement. Catches mostly horizontal routes in the spread offense. Gets up the field quickly after the slip screens, etc. Small target. Needs to improve his route running and learn the nuances of vertical routes. Appears to struggle carrying his pads. Doesn’t look 4.25 on the field. Can be dangerous in space, but is not particularly elusive. Better than average hands that will drop passes crossing over the middle. Has skills as a punt returner. In 2009 he had 56 catches for 779 yards, 13.9 yards per catch, and 6 touchdowns. OSR:6/37. Fourth/fifth round. (A-29 1/4, H-8 7/8, VJ-33 1/2, SS-4.47).

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about DARELL SCOTT: Clemson, 6032 312 4.95. Three-year starter. Good athlete that plays with good effort. Looks the part. Thick upper and lower, wide bodied 4-3 tackle. Runs well for a big man. Sudden first step quickness. Can diagnose the play after controlling his opponent. Finds the ball. Can feel pressure. Good hip flexibility to uncoil and explode on the blocker. Good body control. Effective use of hands, but can get better. Can disengage the blocker and find the ball quickly on inside or off tackle plays. Quick lateral shuffle. Gets to the ball. If he gets cut, he bounces up to get in on the play. Not on the ground. Good power and leg activity. Has some two gap ability. Has the speed to string out and pursue to the sidelines. Solid effort. Rotates in their package. His extra effort draws holds from opponent linemen, several of which are called penalties. Had 143 tackles, 18 1/2 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks his last three years. Plays a little high at times. OSR:7/20. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32 1/4, H-9 7/8, BP-29, 10-1.65).

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about CJ SPILLER: Clemson, 5105 196 4.35. A bolt of lightning type runner that is a threat to score as a receiver, ball carrier, and return specialist. For all practical purposes, is a four year starter. His first three years he rotated with Cleveland draft choice James Davis. Played in a one-back spread offense. He is the all-time, all purpose yards leader at Clemson and in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This is a football player that is also a track All-American. He displays good vision and cutback ability. Productive run skills both inside and on the perimeter. Displays rare quickness to make the first tackler miss. Quick reactions to make positive yards on a poorly blocked play. Has the hands to catch all pass routes with good eye-hand coordination. A clutch player that can make a play in crucial situations. As a kickoff return specialist he shows an instant burst and acceleration. As a punt returner he can take one step and go, or uses his stop and go moves to make defenders miss. Finishes his runs with strength and determination. A patient runner that slides and can bounce the ball outside and speed down the sideline. Has a burst to the corner and can make the first defender miss in space. Explosive on wheel routes. Possesses the hands of a receiver. Mismatch on linebackers. Excellent vision between the tackles. What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about BARRY RICHARDSON: Clemson, 6065 320 5.47. Four-year starter. Huge man with some striking ability. Will struggle to change direction and block small edge rushers. A tackle only because of his limited pulling ability. Average flexibility for a right tackle in the league. When he gets his hands on a defender, he is almost impossible to disengage. Long arms and big hands. Not an explosive player. Does not generate much power despite size and physical advantages. Question physical and mental toughness. Soft in his punch and his play. A finesse wall off type blocker. OSR:32/ 42. Fifth/sixth round. (A-35 1/4, H-10 1/2, BP-24, 10-1.85).

Three-and-a-half year starter who plays hard and at times appears unblockable. Plays both inside tackle spots in a rotation where he is always fresh. Thick and powerful upper and lower body strength. Thick butt and thighs to help him anchor and stack a double team. Active in long and short pursuit. Hustler with good chase speed for a big man. Can change direction and has good functional movement along the line of scrimmage and down the field. Shows an intense desire to run down a ball carrier. Was in on 56 tackles, 7 ½ tackles for loss, and 15 quarterback pressures. Disruptive player who gets his hands up in the throwing lane and batted down three passes. He not only relies on quickness, but can shed the blocker and accelerate to the ball in a short area.

Bowers, Da’Quan Clemson 6033 280 4.75
Junior entry. Three-year starter with long arms and big hands.
The loss of 15 pounds helped Bowers become more explosive
off the edge. Light on his feet. Demonstrates a burst to the ball
carrier after he sheds the block. Makes the quarterback throw
out of the well on the pass rush by getting his hands up. Athletic
enough to drop into coverage. Can run the hoop around the
edge and run a play down from behind the line of scrimmage.
Plays on his feet. Good lateral quickness. He has the ability to
pressure and flush the quarterback out of the pocket. A disruptive
athlete who can accelerate off a block. Good agility and body
control. Keeps his balance. Quick feet and reactions. Reads play
quickly. If he doesn’t make the play, he forces a hurry. Tackling
numbers improved every year. Can set the edge with leverage
and strength at the point. Gives a good effort. Needs to diversify
his bag of tricks rushing the passer. Gets pushed by the quarterback
and up the field at times.
