High cut, long-legged athlete that must work to bend as an inline blocker. Long strider that has average quickness off the line. Has some upper and lower body stiffness. Better in zone coverage than man-to-man. Was impressive to get down the seam or across the formation in the Senior Bowl. Long arms and big hands. Change of pace runner after catch. Needs to stay square with the ability to mirror in pass protection. Can improve his finish. Not a dominant blocker, but walls off. Needs to improve his patterns and ability to separate from the defender. Second round pick. (A-34 3/8, H-10, BP-23, VJ-37).

One-year starter. Played in a rotation in 2008 and 2009. Brother Chris played at Fresno State. They both teamed up on the West squad in the Shrine game. A good effort player who made the most of his senior year. Makes the quarterback throw out of the well when rushing the passer. Hustled to the perimeter. Broke well on the ball. Played strong in the season ending USC game. Has first step and lateral quickness. Doesn’t stay blocked. May interest some teams as a 3-4 five technique. Has some interesting pro physical skills worth developing. For complete report see Ourlads Guide to the NFL Draft.

DeAndre McDaniel can play coverage or fill running lanes in the box.
Physical in his play. Reminds us of fellow Clemson alum, Brian Dawkins but
is 25 pounds heavier. Ahmad Black is a ball hawk who is instinctive. Finished
Gator career with 13 interceptions. Sure tackler in the open field. Special teams’ coverage standout. Can play either strong or free safety. Jermale
Hines plays the hybrid safety-linebacker position. A good athlete who can
cover backs and tight ends. Physical on run support. Andrew Rich is a big
and aggressive safety who majors in run support. Takes good angles in pursuit.
Struggles at times on downfield coverage. A box type safety.
Rahim Moore is a talented and athletic free safety. Generally a consistent
tackler, making 178 tackles over career. Needs more bulk and strength to
hold up on Sunday. Fourteen career interceptions. Quinton Carter is a
physical face up hitter who has sideline to sideline range. Can run with slot
and tight end receivers. Tough in the box. Works through traffic. Deunta
Williams broke his lower right leg in the first quarter of the Music City
Bowl. His rehabilitation time is currently unknown. One of the few safeties
that has corner skills. Tejay Johnson is an active run playing safety in a 4-
2-5 scheme that utilizes three safety positions. Started 38 games over his
career and forced 6 turnovers in 2010. Good agility in tight quarters. Runs
through gaps and keeps outside leverage in run support. Shadows tight end
and makes a play on the ball. Good coverage skills. Robert Sands is a tall rangy
safety who plays in a 3-3-5 system. Will drop into the box as a linebacker at
times. Shoulder hit tackler. Inconsistent wrap up.
