What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about PATRICK WILLIS: Mississippi, 6011 242 4.56. A two-year starter with natural ability to find the ball and make plays. Good athletic ability and instincts for position. Excellent nose for the ball. Takes good angles in pursuit and is outstanding adjusting to movement on the run. Very good change of direction, moving downhill. Effortless to get through traffic. Explosive attacking blockers and gets separation with hand strength and quickness. Gets good depth on pass drops in zone coverage. Has sideline to sideline range with excellent closing speed. Good body control between the tackles and is explosive on contact. Can turn and run with tight ends down the seam. High cut (long legs) so he must make a concerted effort to bend his knees to protect his legs from low blocks. Inconsistent to keep leverage on the ball in space. A solid prospect with outstanding tools. Is versatile enough to play all three spots. Mentally and physically tough. Aggressive and competitive. Plays consistently at a high level. A knee bender that must keep his butt down so he doesn’t play tall. Uses his hands effectively to shed and ward off blocks. Strong at the point of attack with functional strength. Athletic and savvy enough to play in coverage. First round. (A-34, H-9 3/4, BP-22, SS-4.47).
