What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about TJ WARD: Oregon, 5104 211 4.59. Two-year starter. Physical run support safety with good range. Quick to read his keys to diagnose run or pass. Has coverage savvy and smarts. Big hitter. Will not avoid contact. Can break up a pass reception with a big hit. Thick and quick in his build and play. Competitive with good body control. Has experience at corner, free, and strong safety positions. Gets upfield to force the point quickly. Can neutralize the lead blocker and shed. Plays on his feet. Has a choppy pedal, but is OK in his turns. Keeps position on his man. Will struggle with downfield speed match-ups. Takes good support and pursuit angles.
