What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about MICHAEL ROOS: Eastern Washington, 6065 320 5.23. Three-year starter. Work in progress. Came to the United States from Estonia in the early 1990’s. Only played one year of high school football. Big, tough, physical player with good upper body strength. Can stop a defender’s charge with his punch. Can sit down and anchor the bull rush. Natural knee bender. Shows patience and rarely lunges or overextends. Powerful base blocker with good leg drive and initial pop to stand up opponent. Rarely on the ground. Intense. Works to finish. Team runs behind him. Leaks through and walls off linebackers. Mirror and slide in pass protection. Keeps feet under him. Good athletic ability. Runs his feet when he locks on target. Long torso guy. Thick everywhere. Dominated his level of competition. Literally drove a defensive tackle fifteen yards downfield. Effective on combos and switches. Keeps his feet in space. Hustles down field. Physically looks like John Tait. Good use of hands. Gets movement on line of scrimmage. Needs development time to get used to the speed, but is a late second or third round choice.
