What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JOHN JERRY: Mississippi, 6054 332 5.20. Four-year starter with long arms. An above average athlete that can redirect in pass protection. Huge butt and big legs. A three position player at either guard or right tackle. Plays with a strong base. Naturally strong but not explosive in his play. Brother Peria Jerry was a first round draft choice in 2009 as a defensive tackle for the Falcons. Bends at the waist in pass protection but maintains contact. Stays balanced when sliding with man. Has the physical tools to pass block, but techniques are lacking. A push and steer run blocker that uses his hands effectively. Keeps position on his target. Pulls and runs aggressively, but is inconsistent to keep his feet, contact, and follow through. Waist bender on contact. Possesses some interesting physical tools, but needs technique work in his pass sets and run blocking. May need extra repetitions. OSR:14/40. Third/fourth round. (A-34, H-9 3/4, BP-31, 10-1.85).
