What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JONATHAN STEWART: Oregon, 5102 235 4.48. Junior entry. Two-year starter. Plays in a one back spread offense. Strong runner that can drag tacklers. Picks his way through traffic. Suffered a turf toe injury to his right foot against UCLA. Cut back running in zone blocking scheme. Understands and sees the cut back lanes. Patient to let the blocking set up. Powerfully built lower body. When in the I-formation, he slows to cut and doesn’t run with as much power (may be his toe injury in certain tapes.) Will hurdle and step over tacklers. Can be a bulldozer at times. Keeps his shoulders square and hits the seams and creases. Effective on blitz pickup. Can anchor and bend. Catches the ball in his hands and runs with power. Not overly elusive. Has an injury history over career. Toe surgery March 10, 2008 - out for 4-6 months. OSR:3/33. First/ second round. (A-31 1/2, H-9 1/8, SS-DNP, BP-28).
