What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JARED VELDHEER: Hillsdale, 6081 312 5.09. Four-year starter that is very athletic and competitive. Plays with good knee bend. Slides his feet in pass protection. Strong two arm extension. Maintains balance when sliding with defenders. Has the physical tools, but needs technique refinement. Played in the Texas vs. Nation All-Star game and did not look out of place for a Division II player. Struggled with edge speed early in the game, but improved his footwork as he adjusted to the speed of the game. Big hands and good arm length. Dominated his competition in college. Effective in both the run game and as a pass protector. Generally lined up against pass rushers that were 6-8 inches shorter than him and had some waist bend at times, but never overextended and went to the ground. Never gave up a sack in college. Good body control and balance. Gets depth and keeps pass rushers wide and up the field. Mentally tough and consistent. Has the ability to quick position a defender with base leverage. Good effort on the second level. Good lateral agility. Was our second rated offensive lineman athletically at the Combine. Had 9-5/BJ, 33.5/VJ, 4.52/SS, and 7.43/3 cone. Has all the tools to play on Sunday. OSR:2/40. Second/third round. (A-33, H-10 1/4, BP-32, 10-1.72).
