What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about BJ RAJI: Boston College, 6014 334 5.15. Three-year starter. Big hands. Shorter arms than ideal. Strong inside presence with first step and lateral quickness. Power player with good athletic ability if he plays low. Wide bodied grass grabber with good balance. Bull rusher that can push the pocket. Tackle to tackle player that lacks the zest to pursue the ball. Lacks stamina and effort. A two gap tackle. Quick but has difficulty disengaging. Tried to power rush too often. Has nimble feet. Not hard to tie up. Slow to disengage and make the tackle. Can neutralize the block, but has inconsistent use of hands to separate from block. Lacks the ability to explode and unlock his hips with force. Flashes some punch, but lacks the ability to control his opponent with effective hand use. Makes his plays when he’s not blocked. Picks his spots to flash. Not a pass rusher. A high maintenance player that needs discipline. Not a self motivator. Will always struggle with his weight. A career underachiever that missed the 2007 season because he was academically ineligible. Did well in shorts the first two days of the Senior Bowl practices. He reverted back to his normal play in full gear during the Senior Bowl game. Boom or bust. OSR:5/ 20. First round. (A-32, H-10 3/8, BP-33, 10-1.72).
