What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about AQIB TALIB: Kansas, 6006 202 4.49. Junior entry. Three-year starter. Good short area quickness, ball skills, and hands. Thirteen career interceptions. Rangy build with long arms. Good athlete with hip flexibility and a fluid turning motion. Instinctive corner that will gamble and overplay a receiver at times. Can be feast or famine - an interception or a big play by a receiver. Also has done spot duty as a receiver and caught five touchdown passes over his career. When he gets beat, he lacks a great recovery burst. Has been beaten deep, but the ball was dropped by receivers or they went for touchdowns. Generally a good tackler in the open field. Will break down and wrap up. Not a killer. Solid when everything is in front of him. Run support, short ball control passer. Plays a soft coverage with a big cushion. Will creep up and blitz off the corner effectively. Smart and heady. Quick to read and react. Drives hard on the ball in front of him. Will contribute as a punt returner on special teams. Needs more strength to reroute receivers in press coverage. OSR:7/32. BTR:left 4.41, right 4.45. First/second round. (A-33, H-9 3/8, SS-4.24, VJ-38).
