What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about CHRIS JOHNSON: East Carolina, 5110 197 4.29. Two years as a fulltime starter and two years (2004, 2006) as a parttime starter. A track speedster that is not a tackle to tackle runner. May project as a receiver for some teams. Always looking to get outside. Better in space when he returns kickoffs. Stops legs on contact. Elusive with good hands. Has a burst to turn the corner. Small hands. Average running instincts. Durability is a concern because of his build and running style. Upright runner that will take some hits to the chest. Lacks the strength to move the pile and carry the ball 20-25 times a game. Similar to Tatum Bell. Production is outside. Has a third gear burst where he can outrun angles. Speed is his game, blocking is not. Question effort and will. Rare speed brings opportunities at RB, WR, and kick returner. OSR:1/33. Third/ fourth round. (A-30 3/4, H-8 1/2, SS-DNP, BP-DNP).
