Patrick Peterson,Prince Amukamara,Brandon Harris and Other Defensive Corner Notes....
Junior Patrick Peterson can take away a wide receiver. Battled Julio Jones for
3 years. Good ball skills. A cut tackler with size. In addition, an elusive open field
runner on kickoff and punt returns. Prince Amukamara is the lone senior in
our top rated defensive corners. Plays it all – press man, off man, zone. Quick to
break on the ball. Junior Brandon Harris is instinctive and was Miami’s best
one-on-one corner matchup in 2010. Competitive. Can play outside or man up
in the slot like he did versus Michael Floyd in the Sun Bowl. Harris is
undersized but competitive corner who has fluid hips in transition.
Will struggle in matchups with big receivers but will accept the challenge. Aaron
Williams is a junior who recently declared for the 2011 draft. Has talent but
needs technique refinement. Better on the inside receivers.
