Started 24 games over three years. Looks the part. Long arms and big hands. Naturally strong. Plays with intensity, strength, and quickness. Good effort to finish plays with backside hustle. Played in a 4-3 defensive front scheme and was in a regular rotation where he was always fresh. Also moved inside in some packages to play defensive tackle. Had 19 sacks and 31 tackles for loss over his career. May project to a 3-4 end where he can two gap and keep the offensive linemen off his linebackers. Instincts are off. He must see it because he can’t feel it. More deliberate than quick twitch. Plays high at times and loses his power and strength. Gets pushed and turned by mediocre blockers. Inconsistent ability to control the defender with effective hand use. Will get stuck on a blocker when he has technique breakdowns. Has a ton of natural talent, but may need to be limited in his assignments to take advantage of his talent and strength. For complete report see Ourlads Guide to the NFL Draft.
