Owen Marecic, Cleveland Browns, 124th Pick, 4th Round, 2011 NFL Draft

Marecic, Owen Stanford 6004 248 4.91
Four-year starter on offense. Started as an inside linebacker in 2010 on defense. Role in offense was as a blocker. Against Notre Dame he scored a touchdown on an interception and he scored as a fullback on a dive play. A poor man’s Peyton Hillis. Physical and smart. Played over 100 snaps in several games. Fullback is his best position to make a team in the NFL. Plays square and faces up linebacker in the hole on isolation play. Third guard type lead blocker. Can read and adjust on the run. Good effort player. Long torso fullback with good balance. A smart, tough player who you want on your team. Will contribute on special teams. Plays with a good power base to block on blitz pickup. Can catch the ball when thrown his way. Not a threat as a ball carrier. A one speed back. Can be explosive as a blocker if he bends and gets under target. Dependable in his play.
