Three-year starter at left tackle. Plays in a pro style offense. Projected to move inside to guard because of marginal length. A forced knee bender who must consciously work to bend. He plays high. One of the best things he does with his long arms and big hands is to lock out on the pass rusher and shuffle his feet maintaining position and balance. Works to play flat-footed. Runs the defender up the field but is inconsistent to finish his blocks in pass pro and run blocking. In the Senior Bowl he struggled to anchor and hold his ground against the bull rush when he loses his knee bend. Would like to see more aggressiveness and violence in the run blocking. Solid initial contact on linebacker on the second level, but gets up on his toes and doesn’t stay locked on. Can be an eventual starter with developmental time. Has raw ability that needs to be cultivated. For complete report see Ourlads Guide to the NFL Draft.
