Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos, 129th Pick, 4th Round, 2011 NFL Draft

Thomas, Julius Portland State 6044 251 4.68
Started one game over his career in football. Was a four-year starter in basketball. A developmental player who has size and speed measurables for the position. Will need to work on his inline blocking. Looks like a natural receiver. Had a strong week of practice at the East/West Shrine game. Caught a touchdown and a 2-point conversion in the game. Did not look out of place. Plays in balance and on his feet. As a blocker he will need to work low to high. Needs more upper and lower body strength. Plays with decent knee bend. Flashes some run after catch ability. A slot type H-back receiver who can be a mismatch with a safety or linebacker. Played like a one-year football player who has a basketball background. Raw in everything he does. For complete report see Ourlads Guide to the NFL Draft.
