Da'Norris Searcy, Buffalo Bills, 100th Pick, 4th Round, 2011 NFL Draft

Searcy, Da’Norris North Carolina 5105 223 4.56
Two-year starter. Missed the first three games of 2010 because of NCAA investigation. Makes plays as a safety and as a punt returner. Instinctive and smart in his play. Good football intelligence and athletic ability. Long arms for a safety. Excellent in run support. A tough and aggressive hitter. Loves the contact. Must be drafted by a team that will play to his strengths. His best position may be a hybrid linebacker/safety, used in nickel packages. Not a deep man to man coverage player. Struggles to get over the top and down the deep middle. Strong in the short zones when in the box on both strong and weak sides. Good foot quickness, lateral movement, and change of direction for a big man. Will contribute on all special teams coverage and can be used as a punt returner. He has sure hands to catch the ball.
