What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about SHERROD MARTIN: Troy, 6010 198 4.49. Three-and-a-half year starter. Physical play with good speed. Can run with a slot receiver. Active in run support and on special teams coverage. May get a look as a press corner because of size and inconsistent tackling as a safety. Good athletic ability. Reacts well to cuts. Good ball skills. Quick break and drive on the ball in front of him. Good in transition. Did struggle at the Senior Bowl catching the ball in his hands and backpedaling at corner. Had 292 career tackles, 9 interceptions, and 23 pass deflections. Has an injury history including missing the 2006 season with a medical redshirt to have surgery on both shoulders. BTR:left 4.65, right 4.39. OSR:2/24. Third/fourth round. (A-31 1/4, H-8 1/2, VJ-36, SS-3.99).
