What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about LESEAN MCCOY: Pittsburgh, 5103 198 4.50. Junior entry. Two-year starter. Started career at Fork Union Prep. Goes by the nickname ‘Shady’. Plays in a pro style attack featuring one back sets, ‘I’ formation, split backs and power ‘I’. Good vision and cutting ability. Slide and glide running style. Can make the defender miss with some shake and bake moves. Picks his way through the line at times. Rotates by series with LaRod Stephens-Howling and is usually fresh. Lacks long finish speed. Gets what’s blocked. Not creative in his running style. Lacks ideal size for strength and durability purposes. Reverses field and does some things running the ball that he won’t get away with on Sundays. Can break tackles. Good vision where he can hop cut in the hole and change directions. Ball security is questionable. He loses fumbles and has been lucky enough to fumble out of bounds where he doesn’t give up the ball. Cut back type runner. Catches the ball in his soft hands. Not a willing blocker. Several red flags need to be addressed. Big East offensive player of the year. Did not workout at the Combine because of the flu. Third round. (A-31 3/4, H-8 7/8, BP-17, SS-4.18).
