What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about HENRY MELTON: Texas, 6032 280 4.80. One-year starter at defensive end. Started one year (2005) as a fullback. Projects to an outside linebacker. Jumped out at scouts when they were studying Brian Orakpo. Decent initial quickness and does a nice job attacking blockers. Shows good lateral movement as he consistently flattens out versus running plays. Shows speed to chase down a back outside. Good job in space with good change of direction. Uses his hands well and shows good shed ability with a good punch. Not extremely physical as he will get locked up at times. Does not show an explosive burst in the pass rush. He seems to hesitate and waste movement, even when he is in clean. Not a great finisher, but flashes ability. Is inconsistent as he makes some outstanding plays, but disappears at times. Has some tools to project to linebacker, but is a project. Did not go to the Combine. Seventh round. (A-33 5/8, H-9 1/4, BP-DNP, 10-1.58).
