Draft Rewind 2008 - Tracy Porter - New Orleans Saints

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about TRACY PORTER: Indiana, 5102 190 4.46. Four-year starter. Sixteen career interceptions. Not a physical player. More of a man to man cover corner. Fluid hips. Can stick his foot in the ground and drive quickly on the ball in front of him. Good ball skills. Has long speed. A burst to close on the ball in the air. Sudden change of direction. Mirrors receivers. Struggles in run support and misses as many plays as he makes. Inconsistent tackler. Has talent and athletic ability for the position. Will also contribute as a punt return specialist. May be a backup, not a feature returner. Has played only five years of football, including one year in high school. Put up 18 reps of 225 at the Combine. Was second all-time in Indiana history with 16 interceptions. Needs technique work to combine with his athletic ability. Has rare tools, but needs refinement. OSR:10/32. BTR:left 4.40, right 4.53. Second/third round. (A-32, H-9 3/8, SS-4.09, VJ-35.5).

Draft Rewind 2009 - Sebastian Vollmer - New England Patriots

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about SEBASTIAN VOLLMER: Houston, 6072 314 5.15. Two-year starter. From Kaarst, Germany. Good enough footwork to wheel pass rushers past the quarterback. Angular tackle with inconsistent knee bend. Bit of a mauler. Plays in a spread offense. Played left tackle, but projects to right side because of average foot quickness. Struggles to recover in pass protection. Developmental prospect with measurables and some pro physical skills. Came to Houston as a tight end. Marginal lateral quickness. Everything is taught. Plays high and generally without knee bend. Fringe agility and balance. Will need to learn to drive block. Played well in the East-West game. Has had a back injury in the past and missed the 2006 season. Seventh round. (A-33 1/4, H-10 5/8, BP-32, 10-1.76).

Draft Rewind 2009 - Phil Loadholt - Minnesota Vikings

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about PHIL LOADHOLT: Oklahoma, 6080 343 5.49. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer. Long arms and big hands. Massive man. Lines up in a two point preset stance. Played left tackle at Oklahoma. Projects to a right tackle because of the lack of foot quickness. Inconsistent to move and slide his feet. Must work to bend his knees. Plays high. His punch goes to the facemask of defender at times. Below average flexibility for the position. If he gets his hands on target, he locks you up and mauls you. Appears to lack a sense of urgency at times. Lacks the quickness on backside cut blocks. Waist bends in pass protection. Two move defensive ends cause him major problems. Strong on down blocks. His feet are not close to the top tackles in this draft. Once he locks on a defensive end he can run them up the field. Position/wall off run blocker. Struggles to redirect. Gets some push in the running game. Long legs. Must consciously work to bend his knees. Off field red flags need to be addressed. OSR:20/47. Third/fourth round. (A-36 1/2, H-10, BP-24, 10-1.84).

Draft Rewind 2009 - Sean Smith - Miami Dolphins

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about SEAN SMITH: Utah, 6034 214 4.52. Two-year starter. Long arms with good athletic ability. Projects to a press corner that is still raw and developing. Lacks quick movement out of transition to break on the ball. Not loose hipped, smooth or fluid. Wasted motion and false steps in his turns. Plays a press-bail and shuffle technique. The little exposure to his backpedal we had was high and he didn’t bend his knees or drop his butt. Has only played corner for two years. Was a wide receiver with inconsistent hands. Question play instincts and awareness. Lacks a burst to close on the ball in the air. Better when everything is in front of him. Made 69 tackles, 16 passes broken up, and 9 interceptions in 2 years. May also be projected as a safety for some teams. Good upside based on measurables and athletic ability. Developing size/speed prospect. BTR:left 4.83, right 5.00. OSR:13/32. Third/fourth round. (A-34 5/8, H-9 7/8, VJ-34, SS-4.16).

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about BRANDON FLOWERS: Virginia Tech, 5096 189 4.59. Junior entry. Two-year starter. Ten career interceptions. Strong physical cover two corner that can reroute receivers with his aggressive play. Good short area quickness. Good hitter. Plays the boundary corner. Excellent recognition of run or pass. Good football intelligence. Knows his responsibilities. Will play off blockers and tackle. Gets upfield to force the point quickly. Will come up and meet sweeps. Has the size and strength to string out the play. Stays on his feet. Hits with an explosive force. Good closing quickness. No hesitations or wasted motion. Gets a good jump. Great anticipation on plays in front of him. Instinctive and knowledgeable about the boundary corner. Effective in zone. Plays with confidence and strength. Long speed is a concern. Plays fast in pursuit. Active. Good body control and quick ball reactions. OSR:27/32. BTR:left 4.55, right 4.67. Second/third round. (A-31, H-8 5/8, SS-4.08, VJ-30).

A big target with long arms that can run effectively after catch. Runs hard after plucking the ball. Good hands to pluck ball but will double catch at times. High cut, long-legged athlete that must work to bend as an inline blocker. Long strider that has average quickness off the line. Has some upper and lower body stiffness. Better in zone coverage than man-to-man. Was impressive to get down the seam or across the formation in the Senior Bowl. Long arms and big hands. Change of pace runner after catch. Needs to stay square with the ability to mirror in pass protection. Can improve his finish. Not a dominant blocker, but walls off. Needs to improve his patterns and ability to separate from the defender. Second round pick. (A-34 3/8, H-10, BP-23, VJ-37).
