What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about WILL BEATTY: Connecticut, 6060 307 5.06. Two-year starter. Very good athletic ability. Long arms and big hands. Good first step quickness. Raw in technique. Good effort player. Has the feet to elevate his game as a pass protector and downfield run blocker. Struggled to block the edge in the Senior Bowl. Waist bender in the one on one pass rush drills. Went to the ground several times. Had a tough time blocking Larry English. Will soft set in pass protection and will get leveraged back if he doesn’t play with flat feet. Zone blocking tackle that can run his feet. Needs more strength and violence in his play. Good movement skills in both the run and passing games. Can adjust and block in space. Needs to improve his use of hands. Drops hands in pass pro at times. Good downfield effort in the running game. May disappoint as he is more athlete than football player. Question intensity in his overall play. OSR:3/47. Second round. (A-34 3/4, H-10, BP-27, 10-1.75).
