What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about RYAN CLADY: Boise State, 6061 309 5.25. Junior entry. Three-year starter. Long arms. Plays in a natural knee bent position with a good athletic base. Will get high on pulls and miss his target at times, but stays on his feet. Can hit on the run. Sudden on backside cut off. Athletic enough to redirect and pick up twist stunt. Have seen him beat around the edge or beat inside. Athletic mirror and slide in pass protection. Can seal the linebackers on the log blocks. A knee bender with good flexibility. Seals inside on down blocks. Locks up rush end with hands and long arms. Plays on his feet. Takes good downfield angles. Can be dominant at stretches in a game. Smooth recovery and redirect. Good exchange on stunts. Can slip and seal linebacker in the run game. When he gets his hands on a pass rusher, it’s an immediate stalemate. Sudden to hook an edge defender on sweeps. Effective on long traps. Can read on the run. Solid on blitz pickup. Light on his feet. Total package. Did not work out at the Combine. Pro Day 3/3/08 workout numbers 31/VJ, 9/BJ, 4.71/SS, 7.10/3 cone. First round. (A-36 3/4, H-10, BP-24, 10-1.80).
