What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about MATT FORTE: Tulane, 6013 217 4.52. Two-year starter. In addition he started nine games his first two years. Quick feet in the hole. Good tackle to tackle runner. Eyes take him to and through the hole quickly. Finishes his runs with strength. Big back that is strong and sudden with good balance. One cut runner. Gets the tough yards by dropping his shoulder into defender. Ball security is a question at times. A willing blocker, but is inconsistent on blitz pickup. Good change of direction. A good athlete that is always going forward. Good running instincts and skills. Caught 103 passes in four years. Very productive. Had 2127 yards in 2007 and 23 touchdowns. Lacks the speed and burst to turn the corner. Not a homerun threat but gets several 15-20 yard runs. Durable his senior year. Missed the last three games his junior year with a torn meniscus and PCL. Well built lower body. Competitive runner that runs hard and physical. Drives his legs on contact. OSR:2/ 33. Third/fourth round. (A-32 3/8, H-9 1/4, SS-4.26, BP-23).
