East-West Shrine Game Wide Receivers

Alric Arnett (West Virginia) – 6013, 183. Good week of practice and route running in the game. Drives the corners off and drives back to the ball. Goes up for the ball at the high point. Will reach and extend for the ball outside his frame. Plucks the ball. Freddie Barnes (Bowling Green) – 6001, 212. Productive in practice and the game snatching the ball with his strong hands. If the ball is close, he catches it. Can find the void in zone coverage. Competitive. Fringe speed. Struggles to separate in man to man coverage. Blair White (Michigan State) – 6020, 205. A big receiver that started off the week of practice slowly, cradling the ball. Every day he got better plucking the ball in his hands. Catches the ball on his fingertips and in his strong hands. Has the courage to go across the middle, make the play and take a hit. Emmanuel Sanders (SMU) – 5105, 182. Good week of practice. Size is a major concern. Runs crisp and sharp routes. Quick in and out breaks. Hand catcher. David Reed (Utah) – 6002, 188. Demonstrated good reliable strong hands in practice but did not play in the game after suffering a groin injury. Verran Tucker (California) – 6013, 194. Left practice with a hamstring pull. Ryan Moya (UCLA) – 6011, 233. H-back and fullback with good hands. More of a receiver than an inside blocker.
