Plays with knee bend and is always in a football leverage position. Stays square and shadows pass rusher. Position, wall off run blocker. Smooth in his pulls. Good body control and lateral agility. Cuts off inside slant move. Can block the edge – a definite requirement for a left tackle. Plays with a good combination of quickness, agility, and balance. Was awarded the coveted Jacob’s Blocking Trophy by a vote of the Atlantic Coast Conference head coaches and defensive coordinators. Flashes explosiveness in his plays. Huge hands.
