Allen, Nate South Florida 6005 205 4.50
Three-year starter. Instinctive, smart, athletic, and smooth.
Can stick his foot in the ground and drive on the ball. Has the size
and the range to be productive in run support. Good hands and ball
skills. Plays the ball at the high point. Will break up a potential
completion with a big hit. A former high school quarterback who
was moved to safety. A coach on the field. Gets players lined up.
High character player that is articulate and coachable. Good body
control. No wasted motion. Good ball reactions and awareness in
zone coverage. Soft hands to adjust for difficult interception. Knocks
down catchable balls. Confident in his play. Will contribute on
special teams coverage units. The top tackler for the Bulls. Had
226 tackles in his career, 12 passes broken up, 9 interceptions, and
2 forced fumbles. Did not work out at the Combine because of left
quad pull. Second round. (A-31, H-9 3/8, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
